-
Front banked curveBack the curve in a road that is sloping in a manner that helps a vehicle negotiate the curve
-
Front carrier particleBack a fundamental particle of nature that is surrounded by a characteristic force field; photons are carrier particles of the electromagnetic force
-
Front center of massBack the point where the entire mass of an object can be thought to be concentrated
-
Front centrifugal forceBack a fictitious force that tends to throw an object off when the object is rotating in a non-inertial frame of reference
-

This deck was modified when it was brought in: Entries were taken from the end-of-chapter glossaries of chapters 4, 5, 6 and gathered into one deck; the chapter structure of the book is not reproduced. HTML formatting was stripped to plain text, and superscripts and subscripts were converted to the corresponding Unicode characters so that a charge or an index is not lost (H⁺, not H+; T₄, not T4). An entry was dropped when its definition is shorter than 30 characters or longer than 400 characters, when it contains an image, a table or a mathematical formula that is not reproduced here, when it refers to a figure, a table or another chapter, when it is dated by wording such as "currently" or "as of", when it is a bare cross-reference to another term, or when a superscript could not be converted faithfully. Duplicates were removed on the term and on the definition alike, both compared after lowercasing, removing parentheses and reducing plurals to singulars; a term or a definition already used by another Memoquiz deck built from OpenStax was dropped as well. Each deck is capped at 150 entries and holds at least 30. The wording of every definition that was kept is unchanged.
