  • Front accounting
    Back The process of collecting, recording, classifying, summarizing, reporting, and analyzing financial activities.
  • Front acid-test (quick) ratio
    Back The ratio of total current assets excluding inventory to total current liabilities; used to measure a firm’s liquidity.
  • Front activity ratios
    Back Ratios that measure how well a firm uses its assets.
  • Front annual report
    Back A yearly document that describes a firm’s financial status and usually discusses the firm’s activities during the past year and its prospects for the future.
  • Front application service providers (ASP)
    Back A service company that buys and maintains software on its servers and distributes it through high-speed networks to subscribers for a set period and price.

This deck was modified when it was brought in: Entries were taken from the end-of-chapter glossaries of chapters 13, 14 and gathered into one deck; the chapter structure of the book is not reproduced. HTML formatting was stripped to plain text, and superscripts and subscripts were converted to the corresponding Unicode characters so that a charge or an index is not lost (H⁺, not H+; T₄, not T4). An entry was dropped when its definition is shorter than 30 characters or longer than 400 characters, when it contains an image, a table or a mathematical formula that is not reproduced here, when it refers to a figure, a table or another chapter, when it is dated by wording such as "currently" or "as of", when it is a bare cross-reference to another term, or when a superscript could not be converted faithfully. Duplicates were removed on the term and on the definition alike, both compared after lowercasing, removing parentheses and reducing plurals to singulars; a term or a definition already used by another Memoquiz deck built from OpenStax was dropped as well. Each deck is capped at 150 entries and holds at least 30. The wording of every definition that was kept is unchanged.
